- Professor Rebecca Tushnet provides a clear, complete, detailed, and concise explanation of mark similarity issues for horse-washing products. Note to authors, and in particular to fan-fiction and derivative-universe authors: read this; it's worth your time and effort, and also explains what was really going on in the recent Harry Potter Lexicon matter.
- Perhaps reason has a fighting chance now that the People have seen theocracy in action... at home, not just in "contemptible banana republics" (like Iran, which has three thousand years of history compared to our three hundred). Meanwhile, here in East Central Redneckistan the local bus service isn't running, although the U is in session and it takes only six other days off... all of which are federal holidays. But then, I'm proud to be a wingnut theocrat's version of "evil", by both choice and ancestry.
