Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun

On the good "celebrity news" front, George Takei (Lt, later Capt, Sulu) got married over the weekend. The universe did not come to an end, so maybe getting a marriage covered by the Daily Mail doesn't signal impending doom.

But, in addition to David Foster Wallace, we've also just lost Richard Wright, the keyboardist of Pink Floyd. From somewhere in the back room I'll have to dig out that first-week-of-release vinyl copy of Dark Side of the Moon, just for nostalgia's sake.

I'm picky, and have eclectic tastes, so don't expect a comprehensive listing.

How Appealing is aimed at appellate lawyers and legal news in general. If you care about the state of the law, start here — Howard's commentary is far better balanced, better informed, and better considered than any of the media outlets. To concentrate on the US Supreme Court, don't forget SCOTUSBlog.
