Law and reality in publishing (seldom the same thing) from the author's side of the slush pile, with occasional forays into military affairs, censorship and the First Amendment, legal theory, and anything else that strikes me as interesting.
It's a slow news day today. And probably for the rest of the weekend. Those of us who care about free speech are sort of holding our breaths, awaiting a decision in Newdowwhich could come Monday, or any other day before the end of the month, or (in theory) even be put over for more argument. Or mowing the lawn, which to the blawgosphere looks much the same.
